Roughin' It

This is what happens when you have an apartment that was built in ancient times, with an ancient breaker box. You lose power. A lot of power. Power to both bedrooms, the most important outlet in our house and the hallway. Since I refused to sleep in a room that had no light and no power, and I always wanted to set up the tent that we are holding hostage in our living room, this is what you get. We totally camped out this weekend. In our living room. It was quite fun actually, we pulled our mattress from our bed, and moved all our furniture around. (Due to the latter, we had to use our back door as an entrance/exit for a few days, the front was blocked by our couch. Oh, and the huge tent.) It was so fun and I would do it again!

We now have full electrical stability and an updated breaker box that is not from the 1600's. We discovered recently how ever, our fabulous mustard yellow oven is not functioning. At all.
Happier note however, Troy has a new job! He quit at K-Mart and now works on campus for the Access and Diversity Center. He's a receptionist and loves it. I do too, because he is home more and gets paid better! (Don't worry, we CAN actually name this company on a public website. No fear of termination.)

I don't know if you can talk about the company online, I might have to report this to the boss.
