This week has been very Brazil-themed. Troy has taught me several new words in Portuguese, which I am getting very close to mastering. We have had a lot of Brazilian-themed meals going on as well. Last week with our Bountiful Basket we also ordered an extra box of mangoes. We got about 8 or 9 mangoes and have eaten all but three! I ask Troy to make me mango juice daily, and it has become a new addiction.

Also, Troy made dinner for me the other night and made "Creme de Galinha" which literally means cream of chicken. He made it on one our first dates for me, and I really liked it. It has shredded chicken (which is not my favorite part, because I am the shredder.) cilantro, tomatoes, corn, onions, milk, flour, and creme de leite (table cream). He didn't have his original recipe, so it wasn't quite as good, but we both still loved huge bowls of it over rice. Oh, and Troy doesn't understand yet there is only two of us......this is what we have frozen in our freezer left over. (About 3 liters worth) We'll be eating this for a while.

Last, but not least we had a ward party this week that was an international themed event. Everyone brought different food and decoration from the country they served their mission in. It was a really cool thing, and for the event we made pasteis. (The closest translation is pastries). Troy picked up some won-ton papers from the store, and we filled them with mozzarella cheese and turkey, crimped them shut with a fork, then fried them in oil. They were delicious and the hit of the whole party! Everyone loved them, and there were gone really quickly. Troy was really proud. :]

(Troy didn't get any pictures after they were cooked, and I was doing my hair because we were late.)
