The Weekenders

Wasn't that a great cartoon? Loved The Weekenders.

These are some random photos from the weekends we have spent home from Bear Lake. We don't have a lot of time, so we try to cram in a lot of fun. Between that and Nursery, our weekends aren't exactly the rest-filled breaks we probably really need. :]

All the old Smart Cookie girls got together and went to dinner right before camp started. It was probably the last time we will all be in the same state! We want to try to do it every year. :]

Troy finally got to go on the boat with us! We had a lot of fun, this is him tubing. :]

We went to the PG Rodeo. It was so crowded! But it was fun. We love the rodeo. :]

We also ate at Rafael's!!! They reopened on like 9000 South and we went. It was just the same. They even had the same fountain from the other restaurant!!! (That is above)

Got BLAB?

That's right folks, the first ever Bear Lake Aquatics Base post. Woo. Took me a while to get to here. But I was very limited on free time, and we never had the computer and the camera in the same place with the internet long enough to get anywhere. This is basically a photo montage of camp, and my kitchen. It's so huge and awesome, we thought everyone would want to see it! :]

Troy is enjoying his job, and the scoutmasters really love him. He is so helpful and good at what he does, even though he hates being chained to the desk. We never can keep him in one place for very long.

I am liking the kitchen for the most part. I have two girls under me that are a riot, and we have fun together. It is a LOT of work. Feeding 400 plus people three times a day, five days a week is no easy task. I have gotten a good hang of things, and have a lot more help and support from the staff, so slowly but surely things are getting there.

It is a really fun place and we are meeting a ton of interesting people. The staff is awesome and we have made some friends. It definitely is an adventure! We will get on trying out the canoes, sailboats and leather-working jazz and get pictures up of that!

These are my shelves. They were a disaster before we got to them. :]

These are my ovens/tilt skillet. So cool. The ovens are computer programmed and they are amazing.

This is serving line/hot box. :]

Blurry picture of the inside of the fridge.

This is the outside of the walk ins. And half of Troy's body.

Our menu board/allergy board. We have to make sure that nobody dies on my watch.

The sink/food prep tables. I have 4 of the awesome tables we had a Smart Cookie. Way better than just the one I had there. :]

The food prep sink. Oh yes, there are 2 huge sinks we use.

This is the outside of camp/our trailer wayyyyy off in the distance. We live about a 1/4 mile from the kitchen.

This is the pantry. Lots of food in lots of boxes.

These are both the paper goods storage. This was quite a task seeing as the people who worked before us weren't exactly the greatest organizers and didn't know how to use space. Troy and I did a lot of work getting things together. The one below is supposed to be my office that I sacrificed for the greater good. :]

Class of 2011

Last weekend we celebrated the graduation of my little sister Caitlyn! Woo!! It was really awesome to see her graduate, even though it made me feel old, but even worse, made me feel old for Troy. :] Her graduation went a lot smoother than mine did, and she got some really adorable pictures. I guess we can't all be as dramatic as I was. There is this really hilarious video of Caitlyn and Courtney though that totally captures who Caitlyn is. :] She wasn't allowed to wear the Lei my parents bought for her while she walked, so my mom had the great idea of Courtney going down to meet Caitlyn as she walked back to her seat. Caitlyn doesn't hear Courtney so she has to walk way out onto the floor to give her the lei. Caitlyn then freaks at Courtney, refuses to wear the lei and makes Courtney walk all the way back to where we were sitting. It was awesome.

We had her Graduation party on Sunday, and we dominated the decorations. :] By we, I mean me and Troy. (Who gets the credit is currently a family battle, and I'm publicly posting that credit goes to us.) It was really fun and my dad made some amazing kabobs! They were delicious, even if we did have a million left overs. All went great and it was fun to see all the family/friends support Caitlyn.
She did it! She got her real diploma!!!

These were the awesome cupcakes we made, Food Network Style. they were awesome, and everyone loved them. Yes that is an abstract chocolate shape on top. :]

Boys, Boys, Boys!

We had the pleasure of hosting the three nephews a few weekends ago, and we had a blast! Chad and Lindsay were spending a weekend away, so the boys stayed at Grandma and Grandpa's, but that's where we are too so we got to party with them! :] Troy and Eli were buddies when we hung out in Vegas and they were buddies again when he came to visit.
Buddies in Vegas (above) Buddies at home (Below)

We both had a blast hanging out with Eli, and I think he enjoyed it as well. :] The other boys had fun running Becky around the house and getting to drive the big trucks around with Kyle.

All in all we had a blast all weekend, even if the weather wasn't always the greatest. The boys are so fun and we all love hanging out with them. :]
Plus, this weekend we got Teeka back!! She had been visiting with Jeff FOREVER and he finally brought her back to us. :]
