Giving thanks and spreading cheer.

We got to go visit family for 5 days over Thanksgiving! We had so much fun! Troy's brother Chad and his family were in town, and so was his brother Travis. All the family was together and Ethan got to spend time with his awesome cousins. We had a blast and were sad when it was over!

Ethan hanging out with mom at the annual Turkey Bowl!

Grandpa Craig shot off film canister rockets with all the boy cousins. It was really cool! Ethan wasn't so sure about it, but he decorated his rocket pretty awesome!

Our annual Thanksgiving Pageant crew.

Ethan was so spoiled hanging out with Grandma and Grandpa!

We have really packed this month full of Christmas stuff, even though our pictures don't really show it. It is so fun to be able to celebrate with Ethan this year because he almost understands what is going on.

We went to a live nativity in Cache Valley. It was so neat! They had a huge camel that would let you pet it, a donkey and it's baby, a couple of sheep, horses, chickens and a nativity program. Ethan was afraid of the camel, but loved petting the donkey (I think it's because of the horses we see everyday in our neighboring yard) we didn't get to stay for too much of the program because Ethan was yelling "whoa" the whole time and ruining the spirit of Christmas for everyone else. :]

A while ago we were feeling pretty bah humbuggy, partially because we didn't have our tree up. Troy came home late, could tell I was bummed. I jokingly told him to go get us a tree and all would be well in the world, and he did. Ten  minutes later he walked in with our first fake tree! It's a little small, but it is the perfect size for our apartment. Ethan loves it, and does a pretty good job at leaving it alone. There is a mp3 ornament that plays music that he is allowed to touch, and he plays it all day. He loves it, and dances like crazy.

We had the great idea to go down to Temple Square on Saturday. Along with everyone else on the planet! It was so crowded! Maddi and Eric went down with us, and it was an adventure! We took them to Crown Burger for the first time, then drove around for an hour to find somewhere to park. We were all on one, so it was a good time. :] Hot chocolate, a missed exit, and a diaper leak later, we had quite the adventure.

This is Halloween!

We celebrated Halloween for a few days up here! We did so many fun things!
My parents and Courtney and Ryan came up to go to the Pumpkin Walk with us. We started by hanging out at the park.

These are our Pumpkin Walk pictures:

These were pictures from our 15th (or 16th) annual Yager Halloween Party. We drove down for the night and it was great! We are so lucky to have such an awesome family.

Making Pumpkin Crafts with Grandma

Ethan won the sucker pull, and got $10!!

Ethan was so into Fishing. Really, just the fishing pole.

We got our awesome Halloween package from Grandma Becky. Ethan loved to push the sound button his new book!

Lastly, Halloween! It was such a crazy day. I took Ethan alone to the mall and a local grocery store to Trick-or-Treat. We had a hard time understanding that the candy people were handing us we didn't get to sit down and eat immediately. Mom was exhausted at the end of the day, but one day he will thank me for these great memories.

Conservice, where Troy works, had a big Trick-or-Treat as well. Ethan did a lot better at this one, I think it's because mom warmed him up. It was so fun and we got so much candy! (Except Ethan kept picking Dum-Dum suckers or Smarties over the chocolate.)
We were a monkey, zoo keeper and criminal. Ha. Troy's team all dressed up as prisoners, and we didn't have the energy to work him out a costume to match mine and Ethan's.

Look at this kid.

Fall

We L.O.V.E. fall.
It's also great to be in Logan, and actually get to experience fall! We have been super blessed this season, and everyone should be jealous they don't live here with us.

For Conference weekend we took a drive up to a place called Tony Grove. It was sooo pretty! We can't wait to go hike that area next summer.

There was tiny patches of snow off the path. Ethan was loving it.

There is a mini golf course that we have been to for a few years now that decorates so cute for Halloween. It was a little crazy with a one year old, but he had fun. They give the winner a free game, and everyone gets a free treat! It's such an awesome place. (We didn't take many pictures of decorations, and it's cooler at night, but just imagine it all totally decked and foggy. :] )

Last weekend I wanted to eat dinner in the leaves before it got too cold/snowy. So we dragged Maddi and Eric along (of course) and we found some picnic tables up the canyon and ate bbq sandwiches. It was so gorgeous. We had to relocate because of rain, and it was a little cold but I refused to let anyone leave because we were enjoying our surroundings gosh dang it.
I even made Eric "Ooh and Aah" (sound familiar? cough cough Grandpa cough)

Stay tuned for our Pumpkin Walk pictures from next weekend!!!
We're so excited!!!
