Ethan is one month old today!
Can't believe how fast time has gone!
Happy One Month Birthday Little Dude!!!!
As a One Month old he enjoys:
*sleeping
*eating
*staring off at nothing
*learning that mom's face is mom's face, and dad's face is dad's face
*mastering a fake cry that gets him whatever he wants. until it doesn't, and he pulls out the real thing
*wiggling his arms and legs uncontrollably
*lifting his head quite impressively off whatever it happens to be resting against
*baths and showers (especially when the water gets on his face/head)

3 Weeks
Ethan is 3 Weeks old today!
Here are his stats from his latest appointment:
-weighs 9 lbs 2 oz. right at average
-is 22.5 inches long which is the 92nd percentile
He had to get a second PKU, and unfortunately Little Dude isn't a very good bleeder. The nurse had to poke his heel 5 times to get enough blood for the tests. The whole office heard about it.
He's so long that he doesn't even look chubby, except for his little cheeks. It's totally awesome.
He has had a hard week, keeping mom and dad up almost all night, but we are starting to get back to a schedule. Woo!
Mom stopped eating most dairy because Ethan was having stomach problems that were keeping him up all night and all day. It seems to be helping, so we will slowly work certain things back into mom's diet to see what I can and cannot eat.
He enjoys making the coolest faces while he sleeps, entertaining mom and dad. Going from angry to happy in seconds.
He has started holding his head up more and more, and if we're not careful he will throw himself off your lap.
He loves having his hands up while he sleeps, and will wiggle them out of a swaddle if we don't leave them free. He loves his fingers, and even though he isn't aware, really loves to give us the finger. (We have yet to get a picture)
We took him to the Cache Valley Cruisin'. It was really cool, even though he slept basically the whole time.
He is awake more and more each day, we are just waiting for him to figure out how to smile! :]

It's Independence Day!!
All of my dreams came true and Ethan arrived in time for all of us to go to the Fourth of July celebration my family has every year. I was so excited that the onesie I bought a month and a half ago wasn't a wasted effort. :]
If this isn't the cutest kid ever, I don't know what is.
Teeka was so good at protecting Ethan while Jeff held him. She was also pretty good at fighting for the attention. :]
Annie and Ethan
Jenny and Ethan
Ethan and Carol.
The coolest Aunts in the world! (One and a half of them anyway)
Yay for Old Navy Flag Tees! Poor Troy had to wear it all day. :]
Ethan and Maggie! She is 2 months older than him, and at least twice his size! So cute. :]
Dad and Ethan watching the parade. He actually stayed awake for most of the parade. He was staring at Troy though and missed the whole thing.
Getting ready to watch the fireworks!!
Mr. Popularity
We had so many visitors the first week or so of Little Dude's life.
Here are some pictures from that first week home with mom and dad!
Little Dude is a pretty good sleeper. (Knock on wood.) He will go anywhere from 2-4 hours between feedings, and just fall back asleep after (most of the time.) A week from the night/morning he was born, he even slept 6 whole hours!! He has given us a couple of bad nights though and Dad needed to recover. :]

Ethan and his Great-Grandpa Page. He was giving Ethan some good advice and making all of us laugh. :]
Ethan and his Great-Grandma Page (and half of Aunt Camilla)
Troy's brothers Kyle and Jeff came up and spent the whole day with us and Little man. We wore them out.
Ethan and Grandma Becky
Grandpa Craig stopped by for a few minutes on his way down from Bear Lake.
Tori and Ethan! :]
At our 2 day check up Ethan was Jaundice. We had him re-tested and luckily he was low enough (but still pretty high) to not have to sit under the purple UV lamps. Instead, he gets 15 minutes of glorious sunshine. :]
My mom came up this past weekend and got us up and out of the house, concurring our fears of leaving. :] We went to Angie's for dinner, and he slept the whole time. We also walked around the Farmer's Market, went shopping and spent plenty of Grandpa's money. :] It was so fun to have her and my sister here helping and it made me relax a lot. Thanks mom/grandma! :]

We are so happy he is here and can't believe it has only been just over a week. We feel like we have known him forever. Probably from the lack of sleep. :] After he was born the doctor did one more x-ray on his kidney to see if the problem they saw pre-birth was still there. It was. They discovered that his kidney has two ureters. For now he is on Amoxicillin to keep any kidney/bladder infections away and we will see a urologist at 6 weeks. He is such a good baby, and we love every day with him!
