Five Things I Love About You

We have only been married for a short time. Yes. In this time, we have found things that we never knew before. As did most of you. Here are five of mine, and five of Troy's. We still love each other though. We just like rubbing them in.

Five things I love about Troy:

1- never puts groceries all the way away. He will pull them out of the grocery bags, place them on a different cupboard, but never, never do they go in the correct places.
2- he is a blanket hogger. He claims that he is in fact a "sheet hogger." I do not appreciate this, because in fact he leaves me more than enough of the top sheet. He steals the blanket part, and leaves me the sheet. It's like eating all the marshmallows out of Marshmallow Mateys, and leaving me the crusty brown anchor parts.
3- I love that Troy does the dishes. Love it, because I hate them. However, he tends to splash. A lot. All over the cupboards, and he doesn't really seem to mind, so nothing ever gets wiped up after. One too many of my things have found his little leftover puddles. But, at least I didn't have to do the dishes.
4- he forgets where things are. It's actually quite entertaining. I will ask him to get me something, and say that something is in the thing in our closet. Thing = the only non-clothing, non-shoe item in our closet, which holds a lot of junk. He will go into three different rooms searching for this such "thing" (even though I refer to it daily) it's hilarious to watch.
5- like the dishes puddles, Troy tends to leave little piles of things all over the house. I will walk from our room to the living room, and find that Troy has managed to round up a bunch of unknown receipts and garbage and stick them on shelves. After eliminating this said pile, I will walk back into the bedroom to find yet another on the dresser. It's like a magic trick. The never ending supply of receipts and junk in his pockets. It's amazing.

Five things I love about Whit:

Ok, these are in no particular order, just as I remember them.
1- first, in my defense to Whits #4, she has things throughout the apartment in the weirdest places. how is one expected to remember where everything goes?
2- Whit has a new obsession with crafts. Maybe she always has, but I never saw it in our year of pre-married life. Anyway, when we moved in she had these projects in her mind, and everything else gets put on hold until we got it done, including making multiple trips to Hobby Lobby/Wal-Mart/Michaels or whatever else kind of craft store Logan has to offer. But, she is good at what she does, and I have learned to like the craft stores, they are full of the weirdest things, its great. (Code 7 to register 3, code 7!!)
3-If you walk into our apartment, you will never find any door to any room/bathroom/closet that is open. This was extremely hard to get used to at first because I could care less about whether or not any doors are open. At first I almost would run right into the door because I was expecting it to be open. And nothing can be done until the door is indeed shut, even if I'm in bed. But I'm used to it now.
4- Late night ice cream runs to Cold Stone, or Twizl Berry (a self-service frozen yogurt place we are in love with) while we are in the middle of watching a movie, or the latest episode of any of our TV series that we get addicted to (currently in the middle of 24 season 1 fyi) in frigid Logan weather nonetheless. But I have discovered all the good ice cream combinations from this.
5- I go to wear some of my clothes, whether it be a pair of shorts, or sweats, or a t-shirt and I turn to find that the reason I can't find them is because Whit is already wearing them, or she has put them in her drawers and claimed them as her own. (She is wearing them now.)

I laughed quite a bit reading this. I have noticed some of the things Whit mentioned, and you guys watch way too much TV on DVD. I'm running out.

Loving this post my dear. Ah, those things you find out AFTER the big day. :) Brandon still has the piles of receipts/candy wrappers on our dresser AND he wants to get up in the middle of the movie to get something in the kitchen. Drives me crazy.
