Jan/Feb

Here are some photos of what we were up to in January and February.
The first half of January was spent sick, like always. But then we had  a really good long stretch...all the way until mom got put on "modified bed rest" Valentine's weekend. Bleck.
Now (in March) the "modified" has basically been lifted, and it is pretty much just bed rest. Double bleck. I went into labor again this week, and the contractions don't seem to want to go away so we are just waiting it out to see what will happen next.
Let's remember the happier times when I wasn't stuck inside..... :]

We have really loved going to a lot of the basketball games this season. Ethan LOVES them and cheers so great, does an awesome Scotsman and loves to look for Big Blue.

We had a last minute mini vacation to St. George with my parents and sister for my mom's birthday weekend. We discovered the St George Children's museum, ate with chopsticks for the first time and had a ton of fun playing outside in the nice weather.

We came home, and it was rainy. But we still wanted to visit the park. :]

Ethan loves the library...computers. I banned us from going there after one melt down too many, but we decided with a plan we would brave it again. He did really good picking some books and then playing the computer. He loves it and is really good at matching the alphabet games.

More basketball games with Eric and Maddi.

Ethan loves Troy. They are best friends and the more Ethan learns to say, the more he wants to say it to Troy. Troy taught him how to be "super" and Ethan loves it. He only asks for it when his dad is around, because what is a superhero without an awesome sidekick?

Making Valentine's for his cousins.

Mom got the stroller of her dreams in February. Too bad she only got to use it once before we got laid up. :[

Ethan has really started to actually eat real food. He was so picky for a long time that it stressed me out. But the other night he ditched the hot dog and broccoli for asparagus and salmon. Pretty sure it was only because we let him eat it like this and call it a snake though.

We made Valentine treats for dad's co-workers. Ethan had never really had a Rice Krispie treat before, so when I was making them and got it all over my hands, he called them "Sticky Hand Washwellows" and that is what they have become. They totally freaked him out and it took him forever to finally try one though.

Ethan's friends had a Valentine party and decorated cupcakes and played together. We didn't get too many pictures but it was so fun to get to see our friends again! Winter is the pits when it comes to socializing.

Our Stake has a Valentine dance every year. It's a lot of fun, and Ethan loved the dancing part. He was running around the gym dancing with all kinds of strangers. He has great moves. His little friend Vance was trying to keep up with Ethan, and Ethan was helping him dance.

 Valentine's Day!
We decided last minute to go down to the Ogden Dino Museum for Valentine's since we didn't have any big plans and it was a nice day! It was such a cool place!

Outside they have TONS of these huge Dino statues that look super real and super awesome. I'm bummed I only realized after this is the ONE picture that I took.

Ethan is OBSESSED with the Temple. Every building with any sort of fanciness to it, is a Temple. Every time he goes to bed, he sings the Temple song. The other day we told him we could get a treat and go to the park, and he asked to go to the Temple instead. So we did.

Troy making ravioli.

Ethan has also been upgraded to a toddler bed. He loves it. When it came, I kept telling him he had to wait because I had to put it together. So now he calls it his "Big puzzle" because what else do you put together besides a puzzle? His little mind is so awesome.

He has been super into helping out lately. Woo! When we eat dinner he will clear everything one at a time, he loves to pick up garbage and wash dishes. The other night he unloaded and loaded the dishwasher with Troy and he was in high heaven.

This kid. He is growing up so quick and every day Troy and I talk about how crazy it is. He is so smart, and so full of energy. His favorite things lately are dinosaurs, cars, Curious George, animals, and pirates. He jokes about eating bugs and makes everything a gun. He talks so much and is the best singer ever. He loves Taylor Swift and Hakuna Matata. He can do a somersault, sleeps in a big kid bed and is potty trained now. (WOO!)  He is everyone's best friend and has no stranger danger. We are amazed that we didn't screw him up.
