July 4th

This was Hudson's first 4th! It was a blast having him around. He did awesome. Me and the boys came own a few days early and stayed at my mom and dads because Troy got a promotion at work (Woo!!) and we didn't want to be lonely if he had to work late. We had a blast. We got to see a firetruck, visit my grandparents, and hang out at my aunts. It was really great to hang out at Carol's, because it felt just like every other summer I had growing up and I had really missed being able to swim and party with her, and it was so fun to see Ethan play with Ben and Jenny. We also got to go bowling with Kyle, and have a BBQ with Troys family Friday night.
The 4th was as it always is, lots of fun. We all got flag tees, went swimming, ate lots of food, watched the parade and fireworks.
My favorite thing was watching the fireworks. Hudson woke up right before they started, and I was afraid he would be like Ethan who was terrified of them. But he was watching them so intently. Ethan was so concerned about Hudson and had his hand on his head, and then asked to hold him. He was so happy to be watching fireworks and holding his little brother. It was the dang cutest thing in the whole world.
