Easter (Couldn't think of a clever title)

We had quite a busy Easter weekend!
It started Friday when we met the Butterfield Clan (the better half of us anyway. :] ) for dinner for Jeff's birthday. We went to a really yummy Chinese restaurant. Jeff loved his gift, thank you for Blogger world for not spoiling it. Jeff went to work, so me and Troy, Becky and Craig and Kyle went to see Water for Elephants. It was actually better than I expected it to be. It was a fun night but after a long day at work, I was exhausted!

Our day Saturday was busy busy. We went to my family's annual Easter Egg Hunt and came home with buckets of candy. It really is ridiculous. (There will be an after-the-fact picture of all the candy we received this weekend, just keep reading.)

(Pictures with me actually in them!)

After that we headed back home to dye Easter eggs with my parents and Caitlyn. Courtney went to a high school dance instead. We were up late as usual, and were dying eggs for forever. Troy thought he was funny and wrote in invisible crayon on some eggs and then placed them back in the carton with the ones waiting to be dyed. He just got bored because all he could think of to put on his eggs were things like "Eat me." and "I'm an egg." Caitlyn found these and blamed my father. Bazinga.

Sunday morning we woke up and did our own Easter baskets. I got an adorable purse a few weeks ago for Easter, so my basket was filled with candy. Troy got a new tie, some socks, and a new church belt. He was in desperate need of all three. He even had baseball eggs in his basket! We had Easter dinner with both families (the same thing in fact) and got camp shirts from Craig and Becky, and a Hobby Lobby gift card from my parents (Troy was ecstatic, it was embarrassing.)

Church was wonderful as well. Easter is one of my favorite Sunday's to go. It's such a different spirit. Our Primary sang, and signed the chorus of their song. It wasn't exactly ASL, but it was still adorable. It was a great first Easter. :] I mean, look at the haul we now have at our house! (That is our biggest mixing bowl. The blue bucket is filled with only full size candy bars.)
